A few things..

The other day while shopping in Ranch 99 (a Chinese supermarket) I saw a middle-aged Asian gentleman with an ipod strapped to his arm. At first I thought it was some kind of breathing device or maybe an IV, because really, how many middle aged Asian men do you see with ipods in a Chinese supermarket? But the thing that urked me the most was the it was strapped on his arm OUTSIDE his pullover!! Talk about fashion faux pauxs..

I am FINALLY going to start volunteering at the IRC (The International Rescue Committee) on Monday. This time, a time and place was firmly set, so there should be no unconfirmed details that should hinder this meeting. (knock on wood)

I met with one of my fav professors today (Pickowicz), and had a nice time catching up with him. To my surprise he grew up in Boston!! He said that I would love it there, and gave me the email address of one of his students, who has worked with a non-profit org in the past. I'm beginning to reclaim my faith that there are actually interesting people who are UCSD graduates.

Lastly, I very much enjoyed watching both Legally Blonde movies, b/c they really are kind of inspirational in that liberal democratic American way.
